Over the course of my 40-year career, I have actively sought out those whose work has touched, troubled, and /or inspired me. In so doing I have had the opportunity to learn from many dedicated, creative writers, practitioners, and researchers from very diverse points of view. These decades of personal and professional encounters in studying, listening, contributing to conferences, arguing, editing, co-authoring, co-teaching, arguing, arguing some more, listening even more, sharing meals, and occasionally getting quite drunk together have been a vital source of my professional vitality.
